Or maybe a recent event, like an accident, assault or injury, has left you with persistent feelings of fear or tension? I am a Certified EMDR Therapist. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful therapy that gets to the root of the problem, helps you recover from the past and move forward in the present.
You can count on me to care. My approach is supportive, practical and focused on your needs and goals. I have 14 years' experience as a clinical counsellor and supervisor and a diverse background working in government, business and education.
I have extensive training and experience helping people to recover from post-traumatic stress disorder related to interpersonal, occupational and accidental trauma. I also specialize in working with anxiety, depression and the impacts of shame.
My counselling approach is based on what works, according to scientific research, experience and feedback from clients. I have a special interest in neuroscience and the use of therapy to support the brain's tremendous healing potential.
